Yes, and that would be modelling the manipulators in the cockpit. Is there a particular aspect of a project which you feel is more challenging than others?

I think my best work is probably the one I have spent the most time working on (I care a lot about detail), which in this case is the Messerschmitt Bf 108 “Taulfun”. My most popular model though, going by downloads here at the Org, is the Bf 109-E4, followed closely by the Me 262 and Corsair. What would you consider to be your best X-Plane model to date? I’m quite aware that my models aren’t going to change the world but knowing that they bring pleasure to others…and the fact that I get a lot of enjoyment from making them, is more than enough for me.

However, in saying that, these binary numbers bring so much pleasure to other people, and by knowing that, I feel that in some way, I have succeeded in what I have set out to do. To be honest, at the end of the day, my creations are just zeros and ones on a screen, so in reality, don’t represent much in the real world. Stef, could you tell us a bit more about the models you create? I am far from being an aeronautical engineer, but my enthusiasm for developing models in X-Plane allows me to satisfy both my curiosity and my passion for all things aviation related.

My interest in aviation comes more from the design side, the technique required to make them fly, rather than flying them themselves. However, after a while, I decided to devote more time to modelling existing aircraft, and that is where I am today. I started developing models for X-Plane in 2016/2017, and at that time, my models were created purely for my own enjoyment. Hello everyone, and first off, thank you for offering me the opportunity to express myself here at the Org. In what has now become customary, could I first ask how you got into developing models for X-Plane? Hi Stef, thank you for taking the time to talk to us here at the Org.
